ESP LTD SN-1000 FR Charcoal Metallic 2015 Modified Electric Guitar

This is a modified ESP LTD SN-1000 FR electric guitar in Charcoal Metallic finish. Made in Korea in 2015, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Black hardware is fitted including a Licensed Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo bridge & sealed tuning machines. A pair of aftermarket active EMG pickups have been installed, with an 81 in the bridge & an 85 in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume & master tone controls, along with a mini-toggle kill switch.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand with the ‘Thin U’ neck profile feeling incredibly ergonomic, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard and extra jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The 13.77” provides an even and balanced feel across the strings, particularly in drop tunings. The contoured neck heel provides unobstructed access to the upper register, which works great with the double cutaway body design.

Amplified, the pair of active EMG pickups deliver thick, heavy & crushing tones by the bucket-load. The 81 in the bridge is bright and snappy, and works brilliantly for rhythm playing and heavy riffing. The 85 in the neck is a little warmer, and delivers plenty of power to drive your melodic lines & solos to the front of the mix with ease. The pickups can of course handle a serious amount of gain, saturating into a searing distortion as you drive your amp. The controls are responsive, and the addition of a kill switch is a nice touch which allows you to get some cool stuttering effects.
